I'm an artist and a writer and I include at least one drawing every chapter. It would suck to not have the ability to put my art into the writing on here.

You can post pictures, if you copy and paste it in the text. But the image disappears after you once update the chapter. So, you have to add it again. Another thing, The pic you select must be copied from online and not your device.

I would like this because I use pictures for my stories to show what characters look like so I'd love to be able to add pictures to chapters like I do on Wattpad l

It would work best with more children's books. But, I think a lot of fantasy books would love the idea.

I really enjoy drawing, but don't have the time (or energy) to do a webcomic, so I draw Chapter Art for several episodes of my novels. Having this be a feature would be fantastic!

It will be interesting

This would be beneficial to readers seeking illustrated fiction for children; Cat in the Hat type works. This also reminds me of youth books which would have only a couple of sketches - very memorable.

I agree. I found it off-putting for a horizontal format for a book cover, when all other site have traditional book covers. The horizontal format is fine for an article or blog, but it doesn't say professional novel. I've duplicated by professionally designed novel cover in a row of 4 to fit the formatting, but do not find it a stellar representation or incitement.

Hi Terias!
Alex from Inkitt here. Thank you for your suggestion!
You are actually able to add pictures to your story. We have an add image option in our editor and you are more than welcome to use it. There are already a number of stories that contain images on the site and our only guideline is that these images should relate to the work itself and not act as promotional material or deviate from story content. If you want to add an image then go for it! It would be great to see new types of stories and presentation on the site.
Ink it with love!

Hey Bob, this is a great suggestion! We'll talk about it and see what we can come up with! :-) For the time being, if you use the Direct Link for email, that should work for the "insert picture" feature!

Since there is an option "insert picture," I suggest you allow authors to insert book covers and/or official illustrations to of all their published works, instead of having some abstract, no-text-allowed banner on top. Now the feature "insert picture' shows only broken pics even from Flickr.com ;-)
