My book cover won't stay centered. I already have a design I tried to upload but EVERY TIME on ALL OF MY BOOKS it leaves half the cover off.
It won't let me upload my book cover correctly. It shows that it's centered, and when I go to save it, it shows that my book cover is half white and half what I actually saved. It's done this on both of my stories which is disappointing, Why would anyone want to read my work when they can't even clearly read the cover?

i am having this same issue. tried on Chrome and Edge. Edge was better but still had a small area to the right side that wasn't filled with my cover art. I tried several different sizes (edited in Canva) but still no luck. Will open a support ticket with Inkitt. Maybe something wrong on their side if several users are having the same issues.

I went through the same thing...Just now...uploaded from my phone app like a user below said and it seems to work for me. That was so frustrating. I'm glad i found this!

I have managed to get around it my making my image completely square. Making t a 5000 x 5000 with my normal book cover centred. It seems to cut off the excess and puts just the book cover on show and not the blank border. I fixed all my books this way

It's still bugger on main browsers, I've tested Chrome Version 88.0.4324.150 Edge Version 88.0.705.63. They do the left shift. But the Inkitt writing app works.
So, unfortunately, what needs to be done is save the cover to a personal google drive or other folder able to access via mobile. Download the cover then upload it to the book via Inkitt Writing.
I think why it doesn't work on the browser is because the cover app seems to use scaling.

I just came across this today myself. I managed to figure out that the title and author fields are part of the issue - something about how they are centered on the page. I went through many iterations but finally arrived at font size, precision (pixel perfect) centering, and the actual size of the image itself.
I cropped it exactly to the minimum dimensions and they came out fine after that. Definitely a bug in there somewhere. -

It happens to me too, unfortunately. The only way I can get the cover to show up correctly is when I upload it through the 'Inkitt Writing' app. No idea why it works through there, but it does. The Web version is really glitchy in terms of adding a cover.

I believe this *might* be a browser-specific issue for some people. Try uploading with Firefox? I had this issue with Chrome, but as soon as I tried on Firefox my covers uploaded properly.

I have the same issue. I just keep messing with it until it fixes itself, but it is really annoying! I have tried making the specs different. I also tried using different browsers. Nothing seems to solve the issue.
