Add delete account
Allow users to delete their inkitt account

Thank you very much for your patience. You can now delete your account by following the steps below:
1. Navigate to “Settings” in your account dropdown.
2. Scroll to the bottom of your Settings page to find the “Delete My Account” button in grey
3. Click on “Delete My Account”
4. Confirm your selection by selecting “OK” in the confirmation pop up.Thanks for helping us make Inkitt better.

Allow sexually explicit and obscene content
The content policy of the terms specifies that sexually explicit and obscene content may not be submitted to the website. I propose that this policy is modified such that this sort of content is allowed if flagged as explicit. Many great and widely beloved works of literature would be disallowed by this rule, and art often uses taboo topics to explore humanity.

Improved uploads
Allow us to upload stories written in standard document formats. A button could allow a chapter break to be inserted where needed if chapter breaks cannot be determined automatically by font changes.

it is actually possible to upload files and use our “splitting tool” to split the chapters. You can find it on the editor page on the right side below the chapters. Please let me know if there is anything I can help with.

I want to know how many people read my story and when.

Implement an email notification system for new chapters released for stories we are currently reading.

Make the suggestion page easier to find
I had to go through the email I was sent to find this page. Adding a link on the home page or in one of the drop down menus would be great and help more make and vote for suggestions.

Have an "are you sure?" button for deleting stories and chapters.
Twice now, I have lost hours or months of work because my finger brushed the "delete" button, which is right next to the "edit" button. Once I tried to edit a chapter, and deleted it instead. And last night, I lost an entire story, that I had been working on for months, because while trying to click on the story's cover to edit it, I accidentally hit "delete" instead.
Most sites have an "are you sure?" step before allowing a chapter or story to be deleted, specifically to protect writers from this kind of thing.

Hopefully we get to see the specific number of people who read a story rather than just see it on the list.

Move the "Review Me!" bar to the end of the story
The "Are you enjoying my story? Please let me know what you think by leaving a review!" bar is in a distracting and tactless place.
Most of us know that the ending of a story should be strong and fluid, yet there's this big bar and button in the way from smoothly completing a piece, pulling the reader from where they were to remind them that someone wrote it? I find it frustrating and am not inspired to post more work when there is this big banner that distracts the reader to promote me.

Create
Create a mobile app or publishing bar for mobile users through their profile. Not all of us have a computer to publish from, and on the go chapter writing for phones users. No every one likes to or has time to publish from a computer or sometimes a tablet.

Allow links to external websites!
Without allowing the author to link to their own websites, social media profiles, places where writing can purchased, etc. there really is not any "return" for publishing work on your website (except for feedback / reviews)
Shame, because things are quite nicely presented on Inkitt. But, if there's no benefit to the author (external links!) why would they publish their writing on your website?

Profile on the mobile site
I can't seem to upload an image to my profile on the mobile site, and I can't figure out how to link my Inkitt profile to my social media sites (or my website). Help!

Alter how your contests work
The current model rewards known users, users with large social networks (friends and/or fans), and early submissions. Anonymizing the stories during a contest forces people to read the stories and not rely on name-recognition. Hiding a story's score until the end of the contest controls against the dogpile effect (I forget the formal name of the effect). Linking to the contest submissions instead of the specific story ensures that the audience reads many entries and may even discover new authors instead of going directly to the author they already like.
