  5. Is it possible to filp pages rather than scroll through chapters?

I prefer to swipe on my screen to flip pages through a chapter over scrolling through a chapter. I don't know of it's possible on the inkitt platform but I searched around and it doesn't seem so. Is there anyway that is possible?

  6. Add a function so that you can communicate with followers

You should have a function where we can communicate with our followers. Like if we want to know who they are or ask them questions, we can do that. Possibly add it to the followers page, or just have a separate subtitle.

  7. Friending

I suggest that you let people friend each other. I also think that you give people a place to actually chat. That way people can collaborate in case they want to make a book together.

  8. Genres are a mess, it needs to be sorted out.

Genres should only have books in the genre that is listed. Ex. Romance should only have romance, humor should only have humor, mystery should only have mystery. The main book genre should be the only genre the book is in. Do not put the secondary genre in the main genre list. For example, when you ask the author what is the main genre, they answer fantasy, the secondary genre answer is humor. The book should not be listed in humor AT ALL. It is not a humor book, it is a fantasy book that may have some humor. This makes…

    Hi there,
I’m answering in here but will decline the ticket because we already have a ticket for Paging and we just launched an app in beta testing but publicly accessible on App Store and Google Play.
It is called “Inkitt Writing: Tell the Story” and it is made for our authors.

  10. Copying stories

My suggestion is to disable the ability to copy other people's stories by simply highlighting it on a computer and right clicking to copy the whole chapter. I've had two of my stories stolen and posted on Wattpad since I started using Inkitt and I think this problem is the reason why.

  11. fix bugs crashes.

I downloaded your app and tried to read a story from my favorite author. Your app kept crashing after every paragraph. After 20 minutes of this plus the power drain on my battery i deleted. This is a big shame. If your can fix this i would love to download it again.

  12. Allow authors to view demographics of their readers (general age groups, general location, sex) This helps with marketing our books.

I would be wonderful to be able to see who (in general, anonymous terms) my audience is. I would like to know the age groups (13-17, 18-25, 26-35, etc) are attracted to my book. I would also like to know if there are more women readers than men. And if it appeals more to people who live in different regions/countries of the world. This is immensely helpful in determining how best to focus my marketing.

  14. Enhance the interactions among users

It would be great if you could add the possibility to send private messages to other authors, to subscribe to their stories or to subscribe to them to get a notification of every new story they upload.

  15. Several important features an established writing site should have!

There are several important features a writing site should have:

    1) A good mobile app with the ability to write and read on the go (offline) as well as the ability to have other features on the site in the mobile app

    2) Enable more profile features, external links, blurbs (without a word limit) The ability to customise a profile (visually) to make it more professional and unique

    3) Sufficient editing features - Authors need more than just the bold, italicise, and line break feature. We need word counts, more fonts, varying size of fonts, etc. Also, it'd be great if…

    1) is done since 2 years
    2) is also improved
    3) we will plan on revising that this year and redo the editor itself (word count is already there)
    4) we will keep that in mind for this year
    5) we are currently looking into ranking and also a point system, but we want to keep Inkitt free, so we are looking for ways what to do with those points when received.
    6) we will work on some more warm and colorful atmosphere

  16. LGBT category

Please include an LGBT category. I was disappointed when adding my story to the website that I'm not able to properly categorize my LGBT stories as such (especially since LGBT stories are the only type I write).

  17. Provide detailed analytics

I host a bunch of my stories on fanfiction.net, and I love how the site shows me a constantly-updated graph of the daily hit counts and the unique number of viewers. It helps me to see user engagement, so that even if I don't get reviews or favorites or follows, I still know people are reading my story.

    Hi there,

please try the new writing app here:

    Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inkitt.android.neo /
    iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/inkitt-writing-tell-the-story/id1439900223?ls=1&mt=8

Just a quick heads up, this is the first version of the app, and offline access and a few other features are not available yet, but we will release them over the next few months.

Thank you very much for your help, and we are looking forward to your feedback!
    Nico
