Edit swaps
I have a feature request. Edit swaps and Edit credit. The ability to give other readers access to our work so they can proofread and edit it for us, and receive credit for it. Everyone on this site does review swaps. Now, none of us writers on this site by definition have agents, editors, or any of that support... most of us don't even have friends or family that we can hand our manuscripts to. Many of my fellow writers and readers on this site have good thoughts on editing and proofreading. No one can polish their own work, but…

Can you add a feature where you can go back a page or two in the chapter that you were reading to refresh my memory of what happened or to see a page that was in advertently skipped

It's hard to find new writers and new books
Make another platform for new books and new authors where they all can interact with each other. In the app, while browsing I saw a section of new books but the books shown were all uploaded last year. How can last year books be considered new?

WORD COUNT
Would it be possible to add a word count under the summary, where it states the genre, author, reviews section? I know you can see your word count when you edit the book but I think this would be really helpful to give readers an idea of the length of the novel.

Dark mode/skin features
Can Inkitt made a dark mode because it would be more comfortable for the writer to write especially during the night.

Let books with very little engagement have a chance to be seen by the algorithm
Show books that haven't been read by anyone or a small few to be seen on the home page so they have a chance to grow. Authors don't have a chance of getting published let alone winning a contest if they are buried by all the popular books

enable us to un-follow group posts!
If I click like on a group post, I don't necessarily want notifications when 86 people leave a comment on the post. Or if I leave a comment with a helpful tip, and two other people have an entire conversation in the comments afterward, I'd like to disable notifications.

Make it EASIER to follow an author!
PROBLEM:
Currently, users are limited in their ability to follow authors. Please give us the ability to follow authors directly from the Inkitt homepage or Discover page instead of requiring us to click on the authors name every time and clicking the "follow" button from their profile. Searching
I really think that we (readers) should be able to use the search bar for putting tags to search... for example if i put #darkromance on the search bar we should able to see the stories connected to the tags that i searched for because the tags you put in search engine is very limited. also, you should put a mute tag where we could mute some tags on a story so we won't able to see them since... me, myself and i for example are not interested on kpop or bts so if i don't want to read stories…

Implement simultaneous review swaps
Lots of authors propose review swaps. However it sometimes seems to take the form of a "good" review swap, i.e. I'll give yours a good review if you give mine a good review. In a swap, if I provide a review that rates the work poorly, I have to consider the possibility that my review partner might rate my work poorly just for revenge. This could be avoided if a special "review swap" procedure required that the swapped reviews were released simultaneously, when both were completed, rather than at the time they were submitted. Font options
Can we please have the option like many other sites to change the font. As someone with learning disabilities I find some fonts easier to read then others such as Sans-serif.

Announcing the picture insertion in chapter.
I found out by accident that inkitt does offer the service of adding pics in the chapter. I really like that and was really disappointed that most inkitt users didn't knew about that. I spread the word as best I could. I would like if inkitt spread word about it.

Add unpopular books

Base recommendations off of books similar to the ones we are currently reading.
I think it would be beneficial if Inkitt were to have recommendations that are similar to the books in your public/private reading lists and off of the book you are currently reading. There are a lot of good books out there and the fact that the only thing I see is werewolves is annoying. I have to go digging for about 30 minutes before I find a book I actually enjoy reading.
This is also a way to give the more unpopular/unread books a chance to shine.

Make MS uploading friendlier.
I uploaded a manuscript (word.doc). There are several issues.
1) Page breaks do not come out as chapters - I seem to have to manually split
2) Certain formatting is not allowed - I have some text which needs to be strikethrough
3) images do not transfer
