Edit swaps
I have a feature request. Edit swaps and Edit credit. The ability to give other readers access to our work so they can proofread and edit it for us, and receive credit for it. Everyone on this site does review swaps. Now, none of us writers on this site by definition have agents, editors, or any of that support... most of us don't even have friends or family that we can hand our manuscripts to. Make it EASIER to follow an author!
PROBLEM:
Currently, users are limited in their ability to follow authors. Please give us the ability to follow authors directly from the Inkitt homepage or Discover page instead of requiring us to click on the authors name every time and clicking the "follow" button from their profile. It's hard to find new writers and new books
Make another platform for new books and new authors where they all can interact with each other. In the app, while browsing I saw a section of new books but the books shown were all uploaded last year. How can last year books be considered new?

Make MS uploading friendlier.
I uploaded a manuscript (word.doc). There are several issues.
1) Page breaks do not come out as chapters - I seem to have to manually split
2) Certain formatting is not allowed - I have some text which needs to be strikethrough
3) images do not transfer

Implement simultaneous review swaps
Lots of authors propose review swaps. However it sometimes seems to take the form of a "good" review swap, i.e. I'll give yours a good review if you give mine a good review. In a swap, if I provide a review that rates the work poorly, I have to consider the possibility that my review partner might rate my work poorly just for revenge. This could be avoided if a special "review swap" procedure required that the swapped reviews were released simultaneously, when both were completed, rather than at the time they were submitted. Font options
Can we please have the option like many other sites to change the font. As someone with learning disabilities I find some fonts easier to read then others such as Sans-serif.

A whole new way of finding stories
I've already emailed this once but I can't help to do it again. The fact that people are unpublishing and republishing several chapters a day from their completed work, just to stay on top of the homepage, really has to stop. It's obnoxious for the readers who have the book in their library because they get ten notifications a day and it's not fair towards other writers. If you publish new chapters then yes, great for you that you can update but not the same chapter over and over again. When I update a new chapter it immediately gets buried…

I wish support was easier to find
Put it at the bottom under "Contact Us," somewhere near "About Us." I still can't reach anyone so I can tell them that I haven't been able to add the latest two chapters to my book.

enable us to un-follow group posts!
If I click like on a group post, I don't necessarily want notifications when 86 people leave a comment on the post. Or if I leave a comment with a helpful tip, and two other people have an entire conversation in the comments afterward, I'd like to disable notifications.

Additional insertions for media in the chapters
This would probably require a field for url/ media insertion for music clips from YouTube or photos within the chapters themselves. When I was on Wattpad, there were possibilities for additional music clips or photos illustrating perhaps the feel of the piece or a photo symbolising a venue etc

Let authors make their own groups!
I feel like authors should be able to have their own groups that they can create and promote. This is a good idea because 1- there is more interaction within the community. 2- It might be easier to find specific genres or things you like with more specific groups. 3- People can share their opinions on your book or books that you've written together and tell you things they want to see.

Option to add creators to your story.
If we had an editor or friends, we were writing with, it'd be a lot easier to write together if there was an option to add people to write with you.

Reader Editing Tools Overhaul
Hi, everyone. I'm new to Inkitt. Love the writing tools, not so hot on the editing tools.
So far, I have read five stories by other writers on the platforms.
As I went through their stories, I made several editorial marks on specific lines. This is my favorite way to give and receive feedback, a feature I'm familiar with in Turnitin and other school programs. (Or the old pen and paper marginalia, of course)
But, when I checked with the writers, they said my notes didn't show up for them.

WORD COUNT
Would it be possible to add a word count under the summary, where it states the genre, author, reviews section? I know you can see your word count when you edit the book but I think this would be really helpful to give readers an idea of the length of the novel.
