  1. Freeze the top and chapter menus

    It would be great to have the top menu frozen so it's easier to navigate the site. this way all of the main links are available to the user regardless of where they are on a page. Also, maybe freezing the side menu with the chapters list in the writing section, as well, would make it easier to work. Either freezing the chapter list menu or allowing it to move freely and separately from the writing section would be great!

  3. Improve the functionality of the mobile site - for example, adding the search bar and allowing users to post reviews from the mobile site.

  4. Allow bookmarks or marker

    It would be great to place a marker where I stopped reading. When I return to finish the story I could easily find where I exited.

    To be able to select from a list that gives many options including having no filter or excluding all.
    The filters should include:
    Fandom
    Genre
    Status
    Characters
    Time Range
    Crossovers

  6. Provide a story's vital statistics in its listing

    I'm delighted that Inkitt is hosting both fanfiction and non-fanfiction, but I need more to evaluate whether I want to try reading a story than merely a picture and sentence fragment. I want to know the following:

    • [Required] Title:
    • [Required] Author(s): - make sure multi-author stories are well supported!
    • [Required] Genre(s): (e.g., Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Romance, Humor - these are not mutually exclusive!)
    • [Required] Rating: (use a recognizable system, please)
    • [Optional] Trope(s)/Theme(s)/Motif(s): (e.g., Hurt/Comfort, Peggy Sue, AU)
    • [Required] Whether or not it's fanfiction
    • [Optional] Fandom(s): (if it's fanfiction)

  7. More fonts

    I'm working on a story that is mostly told through written notes and a key point is different hand writing signals which character is speaking

  8. please make this site able to center the text

    The story I'm currently writing needs a text to be in the center of the page so this way it can be what I want. I'd appreciate if you can do this

  9. Allow authors to promote their own work, and offer at least one free promotion from Inkitt.

    This website seems like it intends to promote new authors but doesn't do it as well as it could. Allow more space on profiles and provide us with link space that doesn't take up our short biographies. And the biographies section is too short. 200 characters only? That's little more than a Twitter post and says little to nothing about us as authors.

  10. a progress bar to indicate how many words you have wrote for the next chapter

    With the progress bar, you can indicate how many words you have already write for the next chapter... Like the nanowrimo stuff. You put a goal on your bar (for example 2000 words) and you have an indicator of what you did (example : 1456/2000 words). And then, the lector can see if the chapter is coming soon or not.
